Tell Your Kansas Story

In the 1860s, my great-grandfather, an orphan from Ireland, arrived in Kansas to work for Union Pacific.  He fell in love, married, and moved his growing family to Jefferson County - trading in the rail yards for his own potato fields.  Patrick's obituary in 1919 describes him as a tell-your-kansas-story"Kansas pioneer" and he's part of my Kansas story. What's yours?
