The Kansas Humanities Council creates, sponsors, and promotes humanities
programs across Kansas. Through the humanities history, literature,
philosophy, and related areas we gain understanding of where
we've been, who we are, and what
we've valued over time and across generations.
FLIKS: Film Lovers in Kansas
Call for Film Submissions
KHC is in the process of collecting short (under 15 min.) films
for the new FLIKS facilitated film and discussion
program. Films can be documentary, fiction, animation, or experimental
and fit into the humanities categories of Environment, Family &
Society, Community, Ethnicity & Diversity, or Sense of Place.
The deadline for priority consideration is Friday, July

Lindsborg Hosts Journey Stories
Journey
Stories, the Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition,
is at the McPherson County Old Mill Museum in Lindsborg
June 26 - August 9. Explore American tales of "how
we got here" in the Journey Stories exhibition. The
McPherson County Old Mill Museum also features the companion exhibition,
Dreams of America: Swedish & Mennonite Journeys to Kansas.
