Presented by Larry Burke, History Professor, Dodge City Community College

Learn about trench warfare, a harsh tactic that came to dominate combat in Western Europe during World War I.

Also hear the personal account of John Musgrave, a Kansas native that fought in Vietnam in 1967. Today, he lives in Baldwin City, Kansas and counsels other veterans. Musgrave was featured prominently in the recent Ken Burns documentary, "The Vietnam War."

This event is part of "In the Trenches," public programs that explore the lasting impact of World War I and reflect on the experiences of more recent veterans.
