January 28, 2018, 10:00 AM CT
Learn about a project to preserve the museum's library materials, as a means of understanding the lifestyles and attitudes of an earlier period in Marysville, and how it informs culture today.
The library was assembled by Charles Koester, a German immigrant that came to Marysville in 1860 at the age of 19. He became a banker and prominent community leader. He helped establish early Kansas tax laws and was appointed as state commissioner for the US Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, 1873.
This is part of the museum's Kansas Day Celebration.
