June 23, 2017, 8:30 PM CT

This historical documentary covers the Underground Railroad in Kansas and brings to light Wabaunsee County's unsung heroes who traversed one of the most turbulent times in our nation's history. Faith, family, and politics united a community of neighbors who lived and died to ensure Kansas was a free state. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

Part of Candid Conversations, a city-wide, collaborative series of events in Wichita that looks at how race functions in society and how policing affects minority communities; preserves the voices of Wichita's communities of color; and encourages community members to tell their stories.
