Scholars will discuss Kansas ecology and how it was used by early inhabitants. Speakers include Kelly Kindscher, Kansas Biological Survey; Katie Sparks, KU Biodiversity Institute; and Gloria McSpadden-Streib, tribal elder.

This event supports an interpretive signage project that connects the ecological and botanical elements of the Outdoor Wildlife Learning Site with the culture and history of American Indians.
