Learn about Nicodemus, Kansas. Established in 1877 by former slaves from Kentucky, Nicodemus was the first all-black settlement on the Great Plains.

Afterwards, see Rev Victor Williams, a decedent of early Nicodemus settlers, portray Rev Daniel Hickman, a Nicodemus founding father. Then, watch "Turning Points: Hope in the Heartland" and see how immigration continues to shape he destiny of Ulysses, Kansas.
