Learn about Newton High School's Azteca Dancers. Established by the Spanish Club in 1991, the Azteca Dancers were a way for local Latinos to preserve a culture that existed in Newton since the later 19th century. See a live performance of the Azteca Dancers.

This event is part of "A Presence in the Community: Newton High Azteca Dancers," a series of public events. The project is part of "Latino America: 500 Years of History," a special initiative supported by the Kansas Humanities Council, National Endowment for the Humanities, and the American Library Association.
