Conducting Hope - Film Premiere

A documentary film about the inmates at the Lansing Correctional Facility who comprise the "East Hill Singers," the only chorus in the nation to perform outside prison walls. The film explores the unique program of Arts in Prison as the group attempts to reduce the rate of recidivism by giving the inmates a voice.

Screening will be followed by a short panel discussion and live performance of the East Hill Singers.

Film screening and discussion are part the Kansas City International Film Festival.
