Nerd Nite is a bimonthly public event series during which several folks give 18-21-minute fun-yet-information presentations. Topics include history, science, art, and pop culture.

Jamie McDaniel, Pittsburg State University English Professor, will discusses how horror films use vampires and zombies to illuminate significant cultural issues.

Erika Nelson, Curator of the World's Largest Collection of the World's Smallest Versions of the World's Largest Thing Museum in Lucas, Kansas, presents, "Hucksters, Barkers, and Sideshow." The talk explores the businessmen, eccentrics and entrepreneurs that traveled across Kansas selling everything from entertainment to miracle cures.
