Washburn University English Professor Tom Averill will talk about the Kansas literature of the farm, from seed to harvest, from settlement to auction, from plowing to planting, from Dust Bowl to dry land agriculture. In short, from then to now.

The lecture supports "100 Years of Agriculture: Past, Present, and Future," an exhibit of art, essays, and oral histories that commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Kansas State Fair.
